The Oncology Directorate at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi, Ghana specializes in providing cancer care to patients in areas ranging from primary, secondary, and tertiary Care. The Directorate provides outpatient services such as Haematology, Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology Services.
The National Centre of Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine at KBTH became operational in 1997 through a collaborative effort between the Government of Ghana, acting through the Ministry of Health and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and through the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (GAEC). A cobalt machine was donated by the Canadian Government to be used for medical purposes. The Center provides safe, efficient and holistic treatment facilities which enhance quality of life, prolong survival and above all improve condition of CANCER patients nationwide and the sub-region of Ghana
Grand River Regional Cancer Centre (GRRCC) provides treatment and support services for people living with cancer in Waterloo–Wellington. It is the main site and cancer partner for the Waterloo Wellington Regional Cancer Program. GRRCC is a full service world class cancer treatment and research centre. Special areas of care include Chemotherapy, Radiation Therapy, Clinical Trials, Supportive Care, Inpatient Oncology, Palliative Care/Pain and Symptom Management
